How to Style Suede in the Warmer Seasons
It’s certainly safe to say, suede is not going anywhere this season. We’re delighting in the creative ways many of you are already experimenting with this texture in your warmer wardrobes, and we know we’re in for a treat to see more of your styling as the months roll on. From pairing with lighter fabrics, to mixing it up with unexpected accessories, there are no rules when it comes to playing with this fun dimension. If this year, you’re leaning towards warmer neutral palettes, less is more or craving bolder, brighter or adventurous patterns; we are sure that we can provide you with some sunny solutions to update your look with suede.
Softer Palettes
Diving straight in with the summer palette we usually gravitate towards; neutrals. Since our Suede & Leather collection was updated in AW24, these designs have had a firm grip on us. Mocha offers a chocolate, almost plum shade of mid-brown which has a very cool aspect to it. Maple, on the other hand, is much lighter and provides you with the warmer end of the spectrum; a lovely creamy, light shade of tan. These designs could be effortlessly paired with a white or denim summer dress, some neutral sandals and matching belt. Whilst the Mocha is a fairly dark shade for summer, this can be offset with a combination of lighter denim, warm linens, or paler beige tones to balance it out.
Bolder Hues
Moving on to our new season favourites: Dazzling Blue, Marmalade Orange and Cerise Pink. These two-toned newcomers are the perfect way to breathe some life into your existing summer wardrobe and add a colourful dimension into your rotation. Choosing outfit pieces that have bright prints, jewellery, hair accessories, belts, shoes and other small elements can really help you tie in the different shades here. Picture: a marmalade orange hair clip, paired with light tan sandals, a dark denim skirt and a top that ties in with your strap of choice - voilà!
Alternatively, you could pair the Dazzling Blue with an orange summer dress, jute sandals and bright coloured sunnies. Keep it classic with a Dazzling Blue or Powder Blue Bobble, or try adding another element with the warmer tones in the Dazzling Blue Diamond. The best thing about the Suede & Leather designs is that no matter how simple your outfit, the two-tone suede panel will create an interesting statement piece. The most important aspect to remember is to have fun with it.
