Meet Pretti: The Face of The Azalea Pink Collection
This year, we wanted our Pink Collection to feel more meaningful than ever. So, in partnership with Breast Cancer Now, we invited someone with lived experience of breast cancer to be at the heart of the campaign. Meet Pretti Stanley, the inspiring face of our 2026 Azalea Pink Collection. From her own breast cancer diagnosis to becoming a passionate advocate for awareness, Pretti’s story is one of resilience, positivity and making the most of every moment. We sat down with Pretti to hear more about her experience, the perspective it has given her, and what it meant to be part of this year’s campaign.
'How did you feel when you were diagnosed with breast cancer?'
'I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2023. I was 47 at the time, and I only found my lump because a friend had found one too; thankfully, hers turned out to be a cyst. When I first heard the words, “You have breast cancer,” I was in complete shock. I remember saying, “But I can’t — my two sons are going through A-levels and GCSEs this year, and my daughter is only 11.” I had so many questions: Why me? How did this happen? Had I done something wrong? How long had it been there?
I knew our whole world — our normal family life — was about to change. My children were going to have to go through so much because of me.
Getting a diagnosis is one thing, but what follows is a world of uncertainty: hospital appointments, further scans, MRIs, blood tests, surgery, more tests, and then a treatment plan. For me, that treatment plan included a lumpectomy, six rounds of chemotherapy, 15 rounds of radiotherapy, ongoing hormone therapy, and surgically induced menopause.'
'How do you feel about the experience now?'
'When I think back to that time, I want to give myself a big hug. I was so scared and felt vulnerable. My breast surgeon told me I would be OK because we had caught the cancer early, but it was still incredibly tough. Cancer is such a frightening word. It is a disease that can kill you, so there were times when my head and heart would spiral into a very dark place.
Once I knew I would need chemotherapy, I decided to share my experience. I wanted to inform and educate people about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and show what treatment, including chemotherapy, can look like. I also tried to navigate it by continuing with life as much as I could — exercising, staying socially connected, and being there for my children through their matches, university visits, school shows, and big birthday celebrations.'

'Has your approach to life changed throughout this experience, if so, how?'
'Yes, my approach has changed. I say yes to so much more now, and I put myself out there in ways I never would have before. Life can change so quickly, so I want to make the most of every day.
There are still days when I do not have the energy or the happy mindset, and days when I feel low. But I have learned not to dwell on those thoughts and instead to focus on being grateful for what I have.
Since cancer came into my life, I’ve had so many amazing experiences. Choosing to share my story has allowed me to take part in things I would never have imagined doing — walking down a catwalk, being a guest on podcasts, walking along the Great Wall of China, taking part in panel events, sharing my journey for breast cancer charities, growing an Instagram account with more than 2,500 followers to raise awareness for breast cancer, modelling, and taking part in photo shoots.'
'Can you describe your experience working on the Pom Pom London 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness campaign? What’s been your favourite part of the process?'
'I absolutely loved being part of the Pom Pom London Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. It was such a special experience. The handbags are beautiful, great quality, and I couldn’t believe how big the all-pink collection was. I had so many favourites. I loved having my hair and make-up done, trying the different outfit changes, and feeling like a superstar. The Pom Pom London team were so kind and lovely throughout. Every single bit was amazing, I would do it again in a flash! Surprisingly I loved being in front of the camera.'
'What, if any, advice have you received that was helpful or what advice would you give to other women diagnosed with breast cancer?'
'My advice would be to take things one day at a time. There is so much to process, and I remember wanting to research everything — from side effects and hair loss to menopause symptoms — before I had even received my treatment plan. If you do choose to look things up, use reliable sources such as Breast Cancer Now. You are not alone, even if it feels that way. There are charities that can support you, as well as groups you can join. I found so much community and comfort on Instagram, and I will always be grateful to the women who gave me hope, kindness, support, and their time.'
